SMS 1999-0008 is Australia's new SMS taxi booking service.

The service has been launched in Perth and Mandurah in WA, Darwin in NT, Rockhampton and Yeppoon in QLD and Shepparton in VIC.

SMS 1999-0008 is a priority service, so now you can jump ahead of the phone queue.

There is no pre-registration required, nor do you have to install an application on your phone.

Simply find the Location Code in the table below and text the relevant three-character code followed by your pickup address to 1999-0008* for an immediate booking request.

For example: per 21 brearly ave redcliffe

rok base hospital dental clinic

  • It is essential to have the three-character Location Code as the first three characters in your text message.
  • Booking requests are for a standard taxi (max. 4 passengers) unless stated otherwise in your text.
  • Add any special requirements after the address. For example:
    • "7 pax" for 7 passengers
    • "mpt" for a wheelchair taxi
    • "21 may 3:30pm" for a pre-booking

You will receive a confirmation SMS and a booking reference number from the local taxi service.

Standard SMS rates apply, plus $1.50 for a confirmed booking.

The Location Code is not case-sensitive.
